If you regularly carry a balance, a low interest rate credit card may be a good investment. These cards do not usually have as many bells and whistles as others, but the low rate provides you with valuable savings. Low interest rate credit cards allow you to manage your balance without shelling out hundreds of dollars in interest fees. Here’s a look at three to consider.
Capital One Platinum Prestige
Apply for this card, and you’ll receive a 0 percent introductory rate for the first twelve months. After that, a regular low interest rate sets in. This number is variable, meaning that it can change over time. Even so, you’ll find it is much lower than what you would receive in most rewards cards, which tend to have interest rates that are at least double what you’ll pay for the Capital One Platinum Prestige option.

Is it possible for an average person to achieve financial freedom even in the credit crisis? We are all entering really tough times in the economy and it looks like the writing is on the wall that this could be the next recession. This is not local to any one country, this is happening on a global scale and with today’s technologies it’s happening in record time.
Yes! Yes – it is possible for the average person to achieve financial freedom even in the credit crisis. It will not be easy and it will take 100% commitment and dedication but that’s no different from before and the exact same applies even in strong economic growth. People are by nature reluctant to move out of their comfort zone and most people get too comfortable in their jobs to look for other methods of creating income when times are good. It is in times like these when suddenly that job is not so secure and not so comfortable that we are forced to look for alternative ways just to survive.
To achieve financial freedom in these times you need to realise a few truths about what you have more than likely been taught about making money. No doubt you have been taught that you need to study hard and get a good job to secure your financial future? Wrong. There is little if not zero job security when you are working for an organisation. When the markets turn like they have recently companies need to apply drastic measures to reduce costs and this inevitably this means cutting jobs. Hundreds of thousands of people have been made redundant in an effort to save the price of the company’s share. Working a job does not guarantee your future income!

After a very cold, icy, snowy winter what girls’ heart (both young and old alike) doesn’t turn to thoughts of spring fashion and cheerful, bright colors? Even little girls, teens and tweens are only too happy to finally pack away all the black, brown and gray and liven up their fashion palette for spring. After all, it’s the first sign of spring long before the first flowers and blades of grass push their way past the snow.
It’s time to start thinking down the road a few weeks from now when you and your daughter will begin packing away her dark, heavy fabrics and textures and consider what she’ll wear when the last of this winters’ snow has melted away for good. In these lean economic times, it’s all about replacing the basics as she grows out of them and choosing a few fun, colorful accessories to make it all feel updated, new and fresh for spring.
One item of clothing that’s a staple for girls of all ages no matter what time of year is jeans. The great thing about jeans is they’re virtually unlimited when it comes to fashion versatility. Right now your daughter or granddaughter may be tucking her jeans inside warmly lined boots to keep her cozy and warm. Once the weather gets warmer she’ll want to wear them with sandals or flip-flops. As our economy sputters back to life, jeans will continue to be a core fashion item for girls in 2009 and beyond. For warmer weather she might choose jeans cut shorter to Capri or shorts length. Or, she may enjoy wearing a casual denim skirt with a variety of blouses, T-shirts and other colorful tops.

Plumeria are also know by the more scientific name Frangipani. These are one of the most beautiful and fragrant flowers one can find. Flowers can be white, yellow, pink, red or rainbow color. The smell of a plumeria flower can be like roses, coconut, spices and other unique scents.
There is an assumption that the Plumeria is from Hawaii. However, studies have shown that while the plant grows there it is not native. The plant is most likely from South America or Central America. The exact origin of the Plumeria is still unknown. Hawaii does have profuse amounts of Plumeria on their shores. Many of the Frangipani are grown for commercial purposes on the Islands. Plumeria can grow in tropical locations, but are not able to grow in colder locals without a greenhouse. They have no tolerance for frost or lower temperatures.
Plumeria can be a very easy plant to grow. That, along with the multitude of colors and fragances explain why they have become such a popular plant. Even though they are a tropical plant, they can be grown in colder climates due to the fact that they will go dormant in the fall and can be stored in the garage or attic during the months of freezing weather. When warmer spring days are back you can put your tree outside again and watch it come to life. Another reason for the Plumeria’s popularity is its ease of care. It is a very hardy plant and does not need a lot of attention. Once it is a year or two old all it needs to keep healthy is regular watering and some liquid or granular fertilizer once a month.

You know your daughter or granddaughter wants to express herself and her personality through her clothes and everything she does. You’ve already seen how picky she can be about what she wears to school or just to hang out with her friends on weekends. Fashion is important to most girls, tweens and teens and now more fashion choices are available.
However, as a parent you may not feel comfortable with the scary Goth-chick look, ripped jeans or overly provocative fashions now available to underage girls. How can you encourage her individuality, her confidence and sense of personal expression in a way that’s fashionable and age-appropriate at the same time?
First, when she knows she is valued and appreciated she will be more likely to take your direction. Second, experts in child psychology say girls encouraged to speak up, share their thoughts and express themselves are more likely to feel self confident and exhibit healthy self esteem. Finally, when she sees an example of confident and loving people around her, she has a great example to follow. When you’re confident – she will be more likely to be confident.

You know you love expressing yourself and your personality through your clothes and everything you do and say. You carefully choose your outfit for school or just to hang out with your best friends on the weekends. Fashion is important to most girls, tweens and teens and now more fashion choices than ever are available.
It’s great to express yourself but as a girl, you want to strive for a look that’s fresh and fun. Don’t be surprised if your parents don’t want to let you out of the house if you look like a creepy Halloween costume. Parents want you to express yourself too, but not in ways that look scary, messy or too old for your age. The right balance is important.
Let’s be honest. Being fashionable is truly making a statement without saying a word. What you wear tells people all about what you’re like. It can say, “I’m shy and I don’t want to be noticed.” And, if you look shy people will treat you that way. Or, your appearance can say, “I’m happy, I’m confident and I’m glad to meet you.” If you look confident – people know it immediately. Confident people make friends more easily and do better throughout their lifetime.

Of the most common tick-borne diseases in the North Hemisphere, Lyme disease is the most prevalent although incidences of it have been reported in Europe and as far away as Russia and China. Lyme disease is essentially caused by no less than three bacterial species belonging to the Borrelia genus of bacteria and is found in blacklegged ticks, which resemble black dog ticks.
Lyme disease was first detected in the 18th century in Germany but was not fully acknowledged and documented until almost 1910. In the 1940s, it was realized that the disease responded moderately well to penicillin. Extensive studies were then conducted and more drugs were developed that could counter the disease in its early stages. In rare occasions, Lyme disease can actually be transmitted from mother to their unborn child and in serious cases; this can actually result in a stillborn. Initially there were reports that Lyme disease was actually a sexually transmitted disease but this was later proven false. It also used to be thought that the presence of animals such as dogs, cats and farm animals were all that was needed to transmit the disease but later discoveries also show that Lyme disease can be caught by simply being outdoors and not necessarily in close proximity to animals. As we mentioned, it is not a fatal disease and can be treated if detected early.
The disease seems to affect people different and its severity varies from person to person. One of the great strengths of Lyme disease is that it imitates other well-known symptoms meaning it can be quite some time before someone discovers that he or she has contracted the disease. This is because its symptoms resemble that of many other common maladies.
