It shouldn’t come as too much of a shock that the first car for the office of America’s top politician ran on hot air.

Steam to be exact.

It was just over 100 years ago that Sportsman President Theodore Roosevelt was ferried about Washington D.C. (quite reluctantly one imagines), in a shining white Stanley Steamer. In 1904 the choice for automobiles was limited, and no one could anticipate that the steam-powered automobile would soon go the way of buggy whips and BetaMax videotape (least of all the Stanley Brothers, who had founded their steam car company with money they made selling their photographic dry-plate business to a little known company called Eastman-Kodak.) Even Roosevelt’s successor, the portly William Howard Taft used a steam powered automobile as his main car. Taft even establish the White House’s first parking garage, installing steam engineers and automotive specialists in the now obsolete presidential stables.

It wasn’t until the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt that the Presidential Limousine became a custom-built project. Cadillac designed and delivered two convertibles, dubbed “Queen Mary” and “Queen Elizabeth” to the White House. Equipped to carry ammunition and radio equipment, these were the first presidential limousines built with the needs of America’s Chief Executive in mind.

While he strove to hide his partial paralyzation due to polio, FDR still wanted to be a man of the people and it is for this reason the Secret Service commissioned the “Sunshine Special”, a V-12 Lincoln convertible that allowed the president to lean out and shake the hands of his fellow Americans, while at the same time providing a foot-rail and handholds for agents riding on the outside of the car. The “Sunshine Special” is perhaps one of the more recognizable presidential limousines, as it is seen in multitudes of FDR photos, but it’s time as a means to getting the president closer to the people was cut short.

Are you having trouble with your shades? After you realized that using curtains are less ideal and decided to move on to using the alternative, you suddenly find certain defects that hinder you from experiencing the advantages of using this type of covering for windows. So how are you supposed to fix this problem, especially if the blinds would not roll or unroll according to your desired length? There is little need to worry, fortunately, as correcting this predicament is as easy as pie. The good thing is that you do not any special tools that you need to buy in hardware stores.

The first thing that you need to do is to take out the roller blinds from their rods. You need to do it carefully, unless you want to detach the rod from the wall or allow the fabric to tear in half. After taking it out from its bracket, you need to examine the ratchet or the spring. If you do no know what the ratchet or the spring is, it is the device at the left portion of the blinds that enable you to raise or lower the shades. Look for the one with the square pin, not the one with the circular shape.

Check if there are any accretions of certain dusts or even small insects inside the ratchet. Most likely there is something clogging the interior of the mechanism, giving you a difficult time to raise or lower the blinds. Since the available space is tiny and would not be reached by a brush, all you have to do is take a pin and start scraping the edges until the accumulations are either smaller in number or have entirely disappeared. After using the pin, it is now time to use a brush—an ideal type to use here is a small paintbrush, as the tip is finer and would fit nicely inside the ratchet. Dip the brush in kerosene, an ideal cleaning agent for this type of scenario and begin to clean the insides in order to make it shinier. A word of caution, though: Do not apply the oil directly inside the ratchet. You need to decrease the amount of oil you will put in the ratchet or else when the interior would recollect its dust in the future, the result would be disastrous; your ratchet’s interior part would turn gooey, making the raising and the lowering of blinds harder than when it is not sticky.

Tarot card readings are beneficial to my life each day. When I wake up, I get to lay the cards out to see what my future is going to hold on a day to day basis. Many people from around the world will tell you that getting a live tarot card reading is beneficial to their lives. This is because the tarot cards can really give you insight. In many ways, they guide us into something that we may not be able to see entirely. I believe that life is something that has benefits to it for the better. I believe that life helps us to see truth.

In my experience with the tarot, I have seen many lives change for the better. When I was younger, people used to tell me that my tarot card readings were life changing. They used to help people to learn how to go after their dreams and to find their goals when they were able to receive them. I find it interesting that people all over the world want to know what their future is. I guess it helps to have some “magic” on your side when you need it.

I look at tarot cards as being a good focus point for me. It helps me along my personal path and it makes me happy all of the time. Perhaps it is because my life has always been carefully balanced and helpful. At times, I have asked myself why I am the way that I am. However, life will always tell you that you can carefully balance out your life in new ways.

When I was a young woman in the 1990′s, my father used to tell me that I was going to find love eventually. However, it came to a point when I needed to have guidance and direction from someone that truly wanted to be a part of my life. I wanted to have a psychic help me to find the direction in which I was searching for. All of my life I have been searching for love and I often never find it. I find it interesting that most people do not know how lonely it can be to go years without someone wanting to love you or to hold you.

She was a tall blonde woman that had a wonderful way of expressing herself to people. I told myself that she must have a wonderful way about her. I never knew that she was the kind of person that needed to have someone like me by her side. I knew inside of my heart that I must have been born to serve a purpose. I love to feel a certain sense of love in my life.

Randa was the kind of person that was helpful and easy to talk to. I told her that I always had trouble meeting men. She made it clear to me that I was not alone. I had a lot of people that felt the same exact way as I did. I knew inside of my heart that she had a wonderful way about her. I knew that somehow I could just look at someone and tell them exactly what I was seeing. I knew that at some point in my life I needed to find happiness and wholeness. I always feel the need to seek direction. I love to feel a new beginning in my life. Everyone has some sort of an energy that makes them feel happy and blessed. I know inside of my heart that a new beginning is something that takes time to build.

When I was thirty years old, I had the best psychic reading of my life. I was sitting in a cafe and a man by the name of Edgar walked in. He was an Italian man with a beautiful smile. He had this wonderful way about him. He moved with a swagger and he said to me that I looked beautiful. He was sitting all by himself and I decided to join him at his table.

He was the kind of guy that I really felt bonded to. I wanted to make it appear that he would be inside of my heart if he truly wanted me. I knew that if he had the same kind of attitude that I did, that we could somehow become better acquainted with one another. I knew that he had these wonderful eyes of passion. I told myself that he must be the kind of person that wants to have love in his life as well.

When he started to read my cards, I told him that he had nice hands. He said to me, thank you. We wound up having a casual conversation about relationships. The night was rainy and so he did not have many clients. However, when we started to talk, he said that he would give me a free psychic reading. He felt the need to tell me what he saw in my life. He told me that he was a man that was looking for love and that I was as well. It is as if he was someone that I had met before in a previous life. I knew inside of my heart that he was someone that I would love to admire both near and far. I knew inside of my hear that if I took my time, I could get to know him a lot better.

There are different degrees of acne and it can be embarrassing to the one who suffers from it. Especially if it is a severe case. When the acne has been cured there will be scars. Scars that can last all your life.

Before beginning the treatment to remove your scars, you need to treat the acne. Firstly, get your doctor to recommend a dermatologist and get his or her recommendations for a treatment procedure. Acne can be very embarrassing, especially if there is a lot of it. And when the acne is finally gone, due to the constant popping and picking, a scar can be left there for years and even a lifetime on your skin.

First, before you start treating the scars, you need to treat the acne itself. To do that, you should get recommendation from a dermatologist to help you find the right treatment for your skin. How long it takes for your acne to clear does not matter, but you have to keep the acne at bay. Clearing the scars just to have the acne come back again and again so you can pick at them doesn’t make sense.

Once you have found a successful acne treatment, you will want to consult with a dermatologist again to help you find the right scar treatment.

Are you kidding? Is having a drunk driving offense (DUI) a badge of honor in today’s society? I suppose there are worse things to be proud of, such as the types of terrible things you have to do to get “jumped in” and join a street gang… Well, if you’ve hung around a whole bunch of bars lately as I have, you might take this more seriously.

As marketing director of a DUI lawyer referral website, DWI has been on my mind quite a bit lately. In fact, I decided it would be important to interview 50-60 people who wear this badge of honor to see what they experienced when they were pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence of… drugs or alcohol, you pick.

I went to the bank and withdrew a whole bunch of five dollar bills and that night, off I went to the local bars to seek out interviewees. I figured offering someone five bucks to talk about their entanglement with the DUI police would be more than enough to get some juicy interviews.
