The Crescent 3 Lavatory is the latest innovation in a line of lavatory products that have been designed to save time on ordering / specification, installation, cleaning, and maintenance. It has a sleek, low-profile design that is modern and contemporary. It stands only thirty-eight inches in height and can serve three users simultaneously – a unique space saving feature. In addition, it saves the building owner both energy and water with the latest technology.
The Crescent 3 Lavatory is also a very elegant restroom fixture and can “create” the atmosphere of elegance in any location. These lavatories are frequently found in high-end hotels, trendy nightclubs, entertainment facilities, upscale restaurants, art galleries, museums, country clubs, spas, upscale executive office buildings, women’s restrooms and many other exclusive locations. The main component, the Terreon bowl, is a technologically advanced material that is both durable and beautiful. Terreon is a very dense solid surface material composed of polyester resin and other ingredients. A variation of Terreon, called TerreonRE, is a similar dense solid surface material but it is composed of bio-based resin and recycled granules. Both materials are very durable and resistant to stains, burns, chemicals, and impacts. Minor surface damage can be easily removed / repaired with a standard commercial cleaner or a fine grit abrasive. In the event the damage is more significant, the manufacturer offers a simple and affordable repair kit. Both Terreon and TerreonRE have earned the GREENGUARD certification which signifies they are low-emitting materials.
One of the unique features of the Crescent 3 Lavatory is that it is vandal resistant. The Terreon bowl, is extremely durable and very difficult to damage. The water activating infrared sensors will automatically stop the water flow after a thirty to forty-five second period. This will nullify any vandal’s attempt to trigger constant water flow. The lavatory was designed to conceal the air valves and water supplies within the support frame. This eliminates tampering by vandals. In addition, the infrared sensors, streamformers, and top cover are also concealed or secured within the fixture. This design makes it much more difficult to tamper with these parts. And other parts can be concealed in an optional trap cover. All of these vandal resistant design features will yield savings to the building owner over the life of the lavatory.

Folding doors are called folding doors because obviously they are folded when they are closed and swing wide opened when in use. Of all types of doors, these doors are the best when if comes to maximizing a limited space. The first folding doors were the patio and French doors and they became popular because of their conventionalities and unique way of offering new space in homes. Although these doors are still being sought by homeowners because they still bring elegance and classical feel when installed as extension doors from the house, new types of folding doors have gave way to the exciting world of folding doors.
We have now the bi-fold doors, the multiple folding doors or accordion doors and the innovated sliding folding doors. If we could surmise all these types of doors among which of them is the most popular, the bi-fold door can be the best candidate. Why? Because they can be installed where there is very limited space that the ordinary doors cannot conveniently fit. This is why they are most used on closets, pantries and laundry rooms. The largest type, however, can be used to separate one room into two rooms so they can make two rooms from a single open wide room.
Bi-folding or bi-fold doors are actually narrow doors that are attached by hinges in the middle and they are installed along tracks so that they slide open and slide again to close them. On the other hand, the multi-folding doors are also like bi-fold doors because they also fold to one side. However, accordion or multi-folding doors have multiple panels that when closed all these panels fold together like how an accordion folds. This unique characteristic makes them to use less space as well. Bi-fold doors have wider panels and of course only consist of two panels whereas accordion doors have multiple slim panels. They can be installed on a track or hang on hinges and rolled away on one place.

In the 1980s, the dot-matrix printers were the dominant printers. They are all around offices creating screeching sounds as they print away continuous computer papers that were the fad during those business days. Then came the laser printers that created a leap in terms of revolutionizing the way we print. The first laser printer was introduced in 1984 by Hewelett-Packard which got the technology that was developed by Canon. It is very different from dot-matrix but very similar to how a photocopier works with only the light source that makes the difference.
To be able to know how a photocopier works, a page is scanned at first by a bright light while with the laser printers the light source is of course, a laser. The process in printing is the same as with the photocopier because as the light creates an electrostatic image of the page over a charged photoreceptor, the printer attracts the toner in the image of an electrostatic charge thus creating images that was dictated by the software. The popularity of laser printers was quick because these printers can produce high quality print and they are very economical to use than inkjets.
Fortunately, more printer companies have decided to compete each other in the manufacture of laser printers until the competition became very stiff and the production for more budget friendly models have become more active. Prices of laser printers have gone down as the technology has found new ways in cutting the costs on printing standard papers. On the other hand, output quality has improved until 600 dpi resolutions were reached. This means clearer, bolder and crispier printing. The size of the laser printers has also become more portable, more standardized in size and very suitable even for home use. Although the introduction of inkjet technology has somewhat made a little rivalry against the laser printer, the latter can still produce much better quality black text documents than the new inkjets. The inkjet cannot beat the laser printer in terms of long lasting printing and the carbon that is used on laser printers is very cheap as compared to the ink inkjets are using.

Certified jewellery lovers always have a place for pearls on their list as one of their most wanted accessory pieces. Popular for their simple elegance and sheer radiance, pearl pieces are perfect as gifts or even for pure investment only. However, pearls are also one of the most expensive stones so it is no longer surprising that fake pearls are sold in the black market with lower prices. For people who care so much about the quality and authenticity of pearls, it is important for them to categorize which are the original pearls and which are the imitations. Basically, there are two classes of genuine pearls namely the natural and the cultured. The natural pearls are the ones that came from different varieties of saltwater and freshwater molluscs while the cultured pearls are also naturally made but already had some treatments in them like faceting and coatings.
As for fake pearls, they also have three categories that are the glass beads, the plastic beads, and the mother-of-pearl beads. Glass beads are imitations covered with many coats of pearl essence with each coat being hand-polished to give off the look and shine of a real pearl. Plastic beads, on the other hand, are made just like the same as glass beads except that they are lighter than the glass ones. As for the mother-of-pearl shell beads, they also use the same coatings as the glass and plastic pearls but there are types that are not coated and simply sold on their original nature because they contain some characteristics of the authentic pearls.
There are different types of tests that can help you identify whether the pearl jewellery is a genuine or not. One method is to have the stone x-rayed by a gemmologist. Since cutting a pearl open is unadvisable, the x-ray can show whether the stone has layers of nacre with differing density for each layer. An authentic pearl should also show the absence or presence of a parasite which have triggered the formation of the pearl and some drill holes which are also common in natural pearls.

Despite the fact that gemstones are considered one of the most durable substances the earth produces, they still need maintenance once they are made into fine jewelleries. Gemstone accessories are always in demand because they are often seen as classic pieces in the jewellery industry so taking care of them is also like taking care a huge investment in your possession. For maintenance, you can take your precious gemstone to a jeweller every once in a while for occasional oiling but you can also do some simple care tips which can help you maintain your gemstone accessories in top shape.
The first tip is to keep your jewellery always clean. When we say clean, this does not mean constantly washing them. Mounted gems on accessories easily collect soap which, when not washed properly can blur the lustre of the stones. In cleaning crystalline transparent gemstones, simply soaking them with water can already do the job. Mild soap can be used but special formulas are recommended for milder stones like emeralds. Using a soft toothbrush can also be used to scrub accumulated dust and dirt behind the mounted stones but this should be done in care to avoid dislodging the gems.
The second care tip is to never wear gemstone jewelleries when doing certain activities that can pose a chance of getting the piece hit by a hard object or soaking it too long in water. The truth is, even the hardest gemstone can become vulnerable to breakage once inclusions start to weaken and damage their crystal structure. For example, accessories with mounted stones should not be worn when cleaning the house because even the simplest bump on furniture can cause the stone to crack. Diamonds, in particular, can break in half with a single high-force blow and sapphires and rubies can be chipped by a sharp hit.

If you are someone who love fashion accessories and cannot be satisfied until you wear the latest accessories, then buying costume jewellery can be a wise choice. Basically, costume accessories are pieces that are made of second-rate materials imitating real pieces of valuable gems or metals. Despite of the word second-rate, however, costume pieces do not entirely mean that the beauty and the durability of these accessories are of low-quality too. Even though they are not entirely considered as investments because of their affordable prices, costume pieces can last for years if only the user knows how to take care of them.
Probably the main advantage of buying costume jewellery is their price. Now, even those who are budget-conscious can spice up their simple outfits with a splash of colour and elegance from costume necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. With the fast-paced fashion styles we have nowadays, it can already be extremely painful in the pocket if all the original expensive accessories will be bought just for the sake of being trendy. With costume accessories, you can buy a piece to match every article of clothing you have. For those who are quality-conscious, there is no need to worry because the advances in manufacturing and production technologies at present are already capable of creating good-quality pieces out of affordable materials.
Another very important advantage of buying and wearing fake jewellery is that they need very low-maintenance. For example, accessories with real mounted precious gems cannot be worn in all occasions because they can be easily scratched or become dislodged. Costume pieces, on the other hand, are very flexible and the wearer needs not to worry much of losing or damaging it because they can be easily replaced. Also, they need very minimal care unlike original pieces which need to be bought to the jeweller every once in a while. Steel and sterling silver which are metals and are very easy to care for, are two materials commonly used in creating costume jewellery. In addition to this, costume pieces are also safe to be worn by those who have allergies to precious metals like gold. Since costume accessories are made of other materials, they are basically milder and cannot cause many problems on sensitive skin.

We all know that the most popular and most expensive jewellery is the diamond. Known to be every woman’s best friend, it is the perfect gift for engagements, weddings, and other occasions that need an extra dose of special care. Even a single piece of jewellery that has diamond is already considered an investment. However, due to its high price and value, there are many manufacturers in the market nowadays who are creating fake diamonds and sell them at the same price as the genuine ones. Thus, before buying any piece of accessory that has diamond in it, it is highly important to make sure that the diamond mounted on the seat is real. Even though it can be appraised by a jeweller to prove the authenticity of the gem you too can have more affordable ways which can help you identify the true state of the gem.
If you want to appraise your piece alone, the easiest way to do is to ask for a certificate of the accessory. The real ones have certificates coming from impartial diamond grading authorities like EGL, AGSL, GIA, and PGGL. Certificates can also come from independent appraisers who are affiliated and certified by the professional appraisal organizations. The second step of identifying the authenticity of diamond is by having a closer look at it. Real diamonds possess high refractive indexes so one test which can be done is to shine a light through it. If the gem on the jewellery sharply bends the light, then the diamond is real.
For diamonds mounted on jewelleries, one way to test it is to turn the piece upside down with the stone lying on the surface of the newspaper with writing. If the text on the page can be read through the stone or black smudges can be seen, then the diamond is a fake. Another characteristic of fake diamonds is double refraction. Most fake diamonds are made of Moissanite, a silicon carbide, which is so close to diamonds that even appraisers have a hard time distinguishing the two from each other. To look for double refraction, have a closer look at the topside of the stone where the facets are. If a double vision is observed in the facets, then the gem has a double refraction effect.

Today, conservatories and sunrooms are ordinarily installed with French doors or sliding patio doors because they can provide easy access to outdoor while they can remain opened during the hot summer days and provide good insulation during winter. Folding doors have gained their popularity because of their active promotion on home improvement magazines and TV shows that is why many homeowners today are getting excited to have folding doors in their conservatories. Among the most popular folding doors for conservatories are the bi-folding doors.
Bi-folding doors or concertina doors usually have two individual door panels that are designed to easily slide along a track while they can be folded and stacked to the inside or outside of the opening. This very innovative design can provide up to 90 percent unobstructed opening once the door gets fully opened while allowing the conservatory’s living space to merge with the garden. There are models of bifold doors that can reach up to 5 meters wide and they are suitable for conservatories with very wide openings. There are also designs that can allow single door traffic access so that you do not have to fully open the complete door. These doors are especially useful during the colder months of the year.
When planning to install bi-folding doors for conservatories, it is significant that the roof eaves beam is upgraded to a heavy-duty specification or the beams can be alternatively supported to provide adequate structural support for the roof. The folding doors can be positioned on the front side or on sidewalls to allow wide unobstructed access to the patio or garden during the hot summer months.
