Margaret Cho has never been one to pull any punches. So, it’s no surprise that after her recent elimination from the televised Dancing with the Stars competition, that she plans to find fodder for her upcoming stand-up tour amongst the ashes.
Cho says of her material choices, “I’ll be talking a lot about DWTS, drilling everyone a new one. It’s going to be awesome!”
Though she never scored particularly well in the competition, a lot of speculation swirled around her ultimate demise and whether or not her costume choice contributed to the ouster. Was the rainbow dress too gay for primetime?
“I’m just so excited that we got to wear the rainbow colors and really represent and dance about pride,” she says. “That’s so important. I’m so honored to be in the presence of such amazing people and dancers. I had a great time. I’ll miss … the camaraderie and the costumes.

Stand-up comedy has evolved in harmony with the cosmic blueprint and there’s an interesting story attached to this. It’s more than just funny jokes for adults, but a Long, long time ago before our time, and before people as we know them existed on Earth, our planet was formed from a cataclysmic “bang” out in the cosmos.
The cosmic blueprint: Comedy and funny jokes for adults was fused into the very material that went into making our own planet. Much, much later when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, they themselves were destined to suffer the consequences of this cosmic idleness. Consider why those mammoth creatures disappeared, again the answer is clear, they died of boredom.
Why they didn’t have television. It is said that evidence exists to suggest that man did, in fact, survive the ice-age. True, most died in that endless cold, but the clever ones stayed at home in their caves in front of a cozy fire making up funny jokes for adults which is One Theory of how stand-up comedy first started off!

Having been immersed in humorous prose of all kinds and funny one line jokes for so many years, I am now fairly certain that I can recognize humor when I see it without it having to leap up and bite me on the thigh, but I would not claim to know much more about it than that, except for the following brief points.
First of all, I would like to give a working definition of English humor: an odd, embarrassing or funny incident experienced or observed, and described later in a plain manner, which might or might not call for laughter. The English sense of humor is an agreeable mixture of a sense of fun and a sense of proportion, which is not at all the same thing as a taste for buffoonery. Perhaps a small axiom could be proposed: beware of people who only laugh at funny one line jokes.
A joke has a measurable potential of laughter; there are snigger-sized jokes, guffaw-sized jokes, and hearty laughter-sized jokes. Humor has no such limitations for example, might only give the reader quiet pleasure and on the other hand if it catches the reader off guard and in the right mood, its effect can be violent and prolonged, inducing, in my case, uncontrollable surges of laughter, hiccups, and a curious snoring noise in trying to regain breath.

Hallways have always remained an essential part of any house. In the eighteenth century, there was a great focus on making hallways lavish and extravagant. For the plain reason that they give a comforting and cozy feel to guests. There cannot be any better welcome than this. However, in modern day housing, hallways have lost their importance. Even in a luxury home, you will find the hallways are really tiny. This is because in the luxury homes for sale, the dimensions for rooms are increased which really decreases space in the corridor. In any case, if a gloomy hallway is your problem, then all it needs is some slight modification.
You can try a number of modifications to add an inviting feel to your corridors. No matter how tiny, gloomy, or confined your hallway is, you can surely brighten it up with some innovative ideas. Here are some suggestions that might come in handy.
The first thing that needs to be considered is obviously the door. Although a dark colored door will look fabulous from the outside, it is not necessary to carry the same color in the interior part of the door. Try applying soft colors for the interior finish. Bright colors are light reflectors and improve the feel of the place.

To Dress up in Halloween costumes is a great way to get in the spirit of Halloween. There are so many costumes available in stores or use your imagination and make your own. Buying Halloween Costumes can be made easy when customers know where to look for them. There are many different places that parents and kids can search for the right costume. The age of the person and the price of the costume, may be factors in deciding where to go.
Children clothing stores may carry small kids costumes. If a child is under a certain age and needs a costume for the season, then they may try their favorite clothing store. These stores will offer parents a selection of inexpensive costumes. For infants, they may be one piece furry outfits with a zipper up the back or friend. For older kids, a two piece costume with accessories may be available.
Department stores are another retail outlet to try for Halloween costume outfits. They will carry costumes from the age of an infant up until an adult. There will be an entire section of the store dedicated to Halloween props, accessories and uniforms. Kids and adults can walk up and down the isles looking for everything that they may need.

Laughter is the medicine. This is exactly what we hear from our doctors and from some of the ancient scriptures. In most of the medical books, laughter has been acknowledged as the best medicine that can keep your health problems at the bay, but interestingly there have been some cases where exactly the opposite happened. It does sound really strange but in some cases excessive laughter has led to the death of the people. Of course, such cases are very rare and there might be some other unknown causes that might have contributed to it which are still unknown and hidden from the normal understanding of a human mind.
Laughter is normally considered as a stress buster because when you laugh hard the levels of cortisol, norepinephrine and epinephrine goes down which helps in increasing the blood pressure on a healthy level. With the help of laughter you can also get rid of all your mental problems because when you laugh your mind is in a good state and out of depression. Doctors normally advice sick people to laugh whenever they feel, because it can help in strengthening and increasing the immunity level inside the body. For people who are health conscious laughter is a good way of burning calories without any extra efforts.
However, there are researchers who believe that laughter cannot kill a person unless the person has some other medical problems. In that case, the person does not die because of laughter but because of the effects that laughter can create on his body which then affects the actual medical problem of that person. For instance, if a person is suffering from cardiac problems then excessive laughing can at time drop the level of blood pressure instantly which would cut off the oxygen from the heart and this would lead to the death of that person.

This article explores the many facets of humor and what makes something funny. From funny jokes, SMS jokes and funny poems to twisted wit and the distinctly odd. The trait of humor is uniquely human. We are the only creature that laughs. Apart from kookaburras. (This is really funny if you are Australian. If you are not that lucky, Google it and have a laugh on me.)
Humor ranges from simple, physical humor, like a pie in the face, which is only funny if you are not the one wearing the pie, to subtle humor using the interplay and ambiguity of words. Which is, I admit, by far my favorite. For example:
Some say that a world without sin would be ideal. I have to disagree. There are only so many problems which can be solved using cos and tan.

One of my favorite places to visit online is Youtube for wacky videos. There are some great tutorials for Warcraft players. Grinding, questing, you name it, there’s a video on it. In fact, if you have a need to find all the dungeons in the World of Warcraft, do a search for the particular dungeon you’re wanting to take on and I’m sure you’ll find a video tutorial on it.
What about learning how to find the rare dragons eggs or special quest shortcuts? Yep, there’s videos on those too. WoW YouTube Videos cover everything from power-leveling to making gold. But lately, a new type of video has surfaced – irate girlfriends of WoW addicts erasing their boyfriend’s WoW character. And they’re not just limited to YouTube. They’ve spread to Myspace, Twitter, and other social networking type sites – like the plague.
Regardless of how upset you are at your boyfriend, keep in mind the months, (and sometimes years) that they have put into their WoW character, not to mention the money they’ve likely spent on it. While it is understandable that you may want to delete your boyfriend or girlfriend’s character in order to get some more attention for yourself, (and to teach them a thing or two), that is NOT the answer. Character deletion is probably the surest way to end the relationship. But even if that IS what you want, please consider more humane ways of doing it.
