Christmas is nearly here, and depending on where you live, the weather is getting colder (unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere, where you are getting ready for the summer). At this time of the year, thanks to Bing Crosby we think of snow on the ground, a red-cloaked Santa Claus, presents, and ornately decorated trees. In fact, Christmas has become very much a celebration of the winter, and even if you are not a religious Christian – or not a Christian at all – its motifs have become a regular part of western life.
However, some aspects of the White Christmas are not quite as rosy as the old song will have you believe. Another aspect of this time of the year is the winter vacation. That’s right – the kids are home, the TV is constantly on, and if the weather is cold enough to snow the chances are that they are going stir crazy during their time at home. There is a limit to the number of board games that everyone can play and after a while even the kid with the squarest eyes will get sick of the TV. So, while the actual Christmas party with your family and friends will hopefully be a lot of fun, the days before and after can be quite miserable.
One idea to keep the kids happy at home is to do some baking with them. And one of the best ways to entertain them is to bake some cupcakes for Christmas with them. This will keep them busy, give them something nice to eat, and provide a great creative outlet for them. Of course, it’s not just the actual baking that is the fun, but also trying some of the many cupcake decorating ideas that are out there.

Why use non-edible decorations on your Christmas cupcakes when there are edible ones? Edible Christmas toppers are exactly what the name suggests – decorations sitting on top of cupcakes that can be eaten. They come in a wide array of designs, tastes, shapes and colors. Other than the appeasing effect they have on the taste buds, they give a finished look to a cake. To use cupcake toppers, cover the cake in frosting and then put your chosen edible toppers on top. The frosting helps to hold them firmly onto the cake.
Edible cupcake toppers can be bought readymade or you can easily make them at home. Because sugar cubes may be tricky for you to shape, use royal icing to make these edible Christmas cake decorations. While the readymade ones are guaranteed to have a distinct taste, it is more fun making them yourself because you can experiment with different shapes, colors, even flavors. At the end of the cake decoration exercise, you will also have moved a notch higher in your cake making expertise. Again, when you choose to make the toppers yourself, there is room to invent as many different shapes as you like.
Edible Christmas motifs are usually in the form of sugar cubes. When buying them from the store, they will be already curved into fancy shapes and colored. If making them yourself, you will have to shape them yourself. There is no limit to what shapes you can use but being Christmas, it is more realistic to stick to traditional Christmas shapes – you can never go wrong with figurines such as Santa Claus, snowmen, Christmas trees, bells and candy canes. Use different colors, giving precedence to the traditional Christmas colors red, green and white. The color effect is achieved using food coloring and is hand painted onto the motifs to make them come alive.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, you could make some ornate cakes, desserts, salads, or even contribute the roast. But if you are a working mom, you are probably frantically busy, and with the kids home on vacation you have even less time on your hands to stand for hours in the kitchen, cutting, chopping, baking, and mixing. Therefore you need to find something that tastes great but is easy to make and involves little preparation.
The ideal solution to your problem is to make some cupcakes for Christmas. Cupcakes are extremely simple. All you need is to find an easy one-bowl recipe for making the batter, pour this into the little paper holders, and then put these into the oven. It’s as easy as one-two-three! But that is not the end of the story. When you take your little creations out of the oven, you can put a pretty frosting on the top – maybe with some hundreds and thousands or chocolate chips, and you will have made a delicious contribution to your family’s celebration.

At long last, in the history of personal development, something new and positive and that really makes sense has appeared. The Principles of Authentic Power, a set of CDs compiled by Joe Caruso, has taken this market niche by storm. Packed with real experiences and a hard, fact based philosophy, you can, for the first time, believe in a program that will take you to the next level as an individual. It will allow you, probably for the very first time in your life, to wrest control of your life path away from happenstance, and put it firmly within your own reach.
The problem with the old personal development programs is that they try to teach how to control the uncontrollable. What the Principles of Authentic Power has discovered is how to pick out the controllable from the uncontrollable, and give you a focus for all of your energies.
Joe Caruso recounts how, at the tender age of only 18, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer; the big C; the one thing that most of us dread. It was while he was preparing himself for things to come that a nurse looking after him, revealed certain truths to Joe that were to change his future, and sure enough, Joe is still alive and kicking today. But more that that! Not only is he still very much alive, he has become a guru in the personal development field, recognized by many as the founder of a new truth. He has won international plaudits for his work and attends conventions all over the world wherever people have demanded to hear his message from him, delivered in person. Now anyone, anywhere, can have access to this astounding new philosophy by obtaining a copy of the CD set: The Principles of Authentic Power.

Botox has a great many uses that some are completely unaware of. Many of these uses started in the twentieth century, when it was shown that the protein Botulinum toxin could be used to inhibit sweating, which was said to be particularly useful for those who sweat excessively under the armpits. It is not known if Botox should be used in other places that sweat profusely other than the armpits.
These days the treatments are available around the world for a variety of treatments. In Calgary, Canada one such treatment is to prevent headaches, especially migraines. Some treatment for migraines is for those with especially chronic problems.
